Nowadays, combi saunas are becoming increasingly popular
With limited space at home, more and more people are opting for a combination sauna from SuperSauna. The reason for this is that they have become increasingly cheaper in recent years and there is a wider range of combination saunas available. SuperSauna does not recommend using infrared in the traditional sauna at the same time. If you are short on time or suffer from muscle and joint pains like rheumatism, use the infrared emitters of the combi sauna. These can be used within minutes and the total infrared session takes only 30 minutes. If you want to relax for an evening, you can use the traditional part of the combi sauna at home.
Advantages of a combi sauna
Infrared saunas and traditional saunas both have their specific benefits and properties. For instance, an infrared sauna is often used after exercise (muscle recovery) or to relieve muscle and joint pains (rheumatic complaints). The traditional sauna, on the other hand, is used for an evening of relaxation after a stressful day. With a combi sauna, you can combine all these benefits in one unit. Additional advantage: if you use the infrared sauna first, the warm-up time of the traditional sauna will be greatly reduced.
Tips for a combi sauna at home
The following is highly recommended as it is quick, practical and also saves on energy costs: With the combination sauna, use the infrared function first.
- Switch on the infrared heaters of the combination sauna and wait 5 minutes
- After 5 minutes, the temperature will have risen to an agreeably warm 30°C
- Sit in the combi sauna for about 30 minutes with all the infrared heaters on
- After this, the temperature will rise to around 60-70 degrees
- Switch off the infrared heaters and turn on the heater
- Rest for about 15 minutes after which the heater heats up the sauna and you can relax in a Finnish sauna after the rest period
- After 15 minutes, observe a rest period in combination with a cold shower or a cold foot bath
This allows you to use both infrared and traditional sauna and minimises the warm-up time of the Finnish sauna. Did you know that a high-quality combination sauna from SuperSauna can be purchased from as little as € 2495 (incl. VAT and free delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium) and comes complete with accessories.
How can a combi sauna be connected to a normal 230-volt socket?
Most combi saunas use a 3.6 kw heater which can be connected to a normal socket (230 volts). As a result, SuperSauna combination saunas do not require you to install special power steam or 3-phase electricity, which of course saves you money!
